This is an unusual blog for me but I write this asking for your assistance and if not your financial assistance your prayers for a seven month old boy named Jacob.
Jacob's story started 7 months ago. He is the first born for Cathy and Mike Sisco. Cathy teaches kindergarten with my wife in Keller, TX. He's an adorable little guy whose life dramatically changed last week when on April 1st the paramedics called Cathy at school and said they were rushing little Jacob from his baby sitter's house to the hospital. He was not breathing and unresponsive.
Upon arriving at the hospital he was able to be ventilated and they proceeded to find out what was wrong. After doing a CT scan they found little Jacob had hemorrhaging on his brain. An emergency craniotomy was performed and they were able to stop the bleeding. Further tests are being performed and currently he has little to no movement on his right side, brain swelling, and a retinal tear in his left eye. He has awakened and they have taken him off the ventilator. Occasionally he is able to eat on his own, otherwise it's still intravenously.
Needless to say mom and dad are at his side all the time. Mike and Cathy are both school teachers. They are limited in the number of hours they can take off. Since Cathy took all of her leave time when Jacob was born she has no more time off and will be docked $200.00 a day for missed time. Although other teachers have volunteered their own personal leave time to replace Cathy's they were told that wouldn't be allowed.
So, if you would like to assist financially there has been an account set up in Jacob's name at Chase Bank. Make the donations to Jacob Sisco.
FBO-Jacob Sisco, Chase Bank, 7367 North Beach Street, Ft. Worth, TX 76137. Attention banker: Charlie O'Shel.
If you want to see Jacob you can log on to Facebook and type in search- Pray for Jacob Sisco.
Feel free to pass this information on to others. And I know if you can't financially assist them, you can keep little Jacob and the Sisco's in your thoughts and prayers.
