I'm done.
I can't take it anymore! It's only March, and I'm already sick of hearing about the Presidential candidates. It's all over the radio, the TV, and for cryin' out loud, even Sports Center. Are our sports not even sacred? You name it and they are everywhere. I say turn them off!
Who're you gonna vote for? Obama? McCain? Hillary? Huckabee? What's his name in California? Makes no difference but what I really like (pun intended) is how each candidate is making all kinds of promises to get the job done. But, the fact is, they do that each and every time another four years rolls around. Promises abound from not raising taxes to raising taxes only on 'the rich' to bringing the troops home immediately or not bringing the troops home at all. We've even learned what some of their favorite things are such as hiking and jogging. Good grief.
With all due respect why in the world would anyone want that job?
Credibility.
Where is the credibility? I know and you know that with each past President, promises are made to only crash against Congress and end up ship wrecked on some distant shore of ain't gonna happen. My vote goes to the person who has credibility. Credibility is the foundation of leadership. It's not a title you wear. Authority and leadership are not the same. Neither is power and leadership. Just because you are the partner in a company, a Vice President, a board member, or manager, if you think you have a 'right to lead' you're smoking crack. Leadership is not a position. Leadership is the way you act...a behavior you model.
I want someone to follow who not necessarily inspires me, although that's nice. No, I want the man or woman who will do what they say they will do. Those people get my vote as a leader.
Are you leading by example or by position? Are you saying one thing and not able to fulfill that by the way you act?
So who you voting for?
"Your kingdom is kingdom eternal; you never get voted out of office". Psalm 145: 13
