I happened to be watching the NBC news this weekend and saw this wonderful story about a 94-year-old man who died recently in Minnesota. Not really a signficiant event until he had bequeathed $3 million dollars to his community. The only person who knew about it before his death was his attorney. He gave away thousands of dollars to individuals, churches, organizations, etc. And the result? You can only imagine if you had gotten a check in the mail for $250,000.00? What would you do with it? Some of the individuals gave their money away to others. It really is a wonderful story for this time of year. You can watch the video below to get the real impact of the story.
So, if today were your last day, how would you "spend it?" You may not have a million dollars, but may I suggest you are a millionaire? You have so much to give to the people you live with, work with, and are friends with. If you need to give more, encourage more, forgive more, have more compassion, etc, then today is the day to start. Live like there is no tomorrow, and you are the richest person on earth! And if tomorrow comes, live that way again.
Merry Christmas and have a great holiday season.
