I read this today and wanted to share:
"Barack Obama has replaced Jesus Christ atop a list of America's heroes. The poll conducted in January by Harris Interactive, asked a cross section of American adults whom they admired enough to consider heroes. Barack Obama, John McCain, Chesley Sullenburger, God, Billy Graham, Mahatma Ghandi, Condoleeza Rice, Sarah Palin, General George S. Patton, and Bill Gates made the list for the first time in 2009."
Wow. Wonder what this says about America? What does this say about heroes? What does this say about your definition of heroes?
I have to say I have a really hard time with this one but also understand why 'America' would put the president above Jesus. It doesn't take a lot of rocket science to figure this one out.
Would be interested in your thoughts.
