Reference Point

Help me out here please.

Wondering what your reference point is for the decisions you make? Dealing with people? Your business? Your finances? Your career?

I have an answer but not sure it's the right one. I need some wise thoughts from you to be able to share with others because I'm not sure my reference point(s) are correct.

What I do know to be true is whatever my reference point(s) is, it's determined by what I'm focused on. Make sense? If I'm balancing something I have to have a reference point, something I'm focused on in order to keep it balanced. If I'm going to shoot a duck flying across the sky, I have to have a reference point or some place I'm focused on. So, what is your reference point?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Psalm 141!
I have never been any good at balancing.... that "decision" was made when I was ten years old.
Now, I only trust.... and "believe" I would have had little to gain in being a good balancer compared to my expectations as a good trustee.

So I looked up Psalm 141 and in verse 8 it says David had his eyes focused on 'you, O Sovereign Lord;'. Is that your point? Your reference point for all decisions?
