Refusing to be a Lost Generation and Being Defeated by Life

I had two different videos sent to me and wanted to share with you. The first one was a video submitted by a 20 year old for a contest 'U @ 50.' It really is brilliant and is inspiring if only because of the attitude the next generation has for their future.

The second one is also inspiring because it reminds us that being defeated by life and life circumstances is not an option for many of the people we admire. Check it out at here.

Finally, let me encourage those of you who would take the time to read from the Bible to check out Hebrews 11. It's an incredible chapter that illustrates men and women of faith who also failed to give up when times were tough. From Abel, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joseph, and a litany of others God reminds us 'these were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. (Why?) Because God had decided on an even better plan for us. He had planned something better...(vs.39-40).

Don't give up. God has big plans for you.

I love Hebrews and especially the 11th chapter. I have often reminded my wife of vs 35 on a Saturday morning after a long exhaustive week, "Women receive their dead raised to life again (through faith)" but personally love vs 33, accepting His promise through faith to "stop the mouths of lions"!
That's worth getting up for....
