The Black Hole

I have a friend in Oklahoma who spends tons of time on the computer (semi-retired) and sends me some interesting things sometimes. Here is a 2 1/2 minute video that is very revealing, interesting, provocative, enlightening, and timely.  Not only that, but it teaches a plethora of lessons. Once again I would like for you to watch it, apply it and share with me the lesson(s) you come up with. How does this apply to life? Leadership? Spiritually? Physically? Morally? Economically? Values? YOU? Other lessons?

Here are some of mine:

1. More and more of something does not necessarily bring more balance, happiness or peace.

2. We are the best at putting off consequences.

3. If we would ever learn to loosen the grip around ourselves, our desires, our greed, our vision, then possibly all of these things and more would loosen their grip around us and not entrap us into the dark abyss of hopelessness, depression, anxiety and despair.

4. We can take and take and take and take and not have to worry????

5. If you are a lover of money, desire to live richly or pursue great gain, be very careful. You will fall into a trap.

6. Integrity defined...who you are and what you do when know one is watching.

Okay, enough. Let me know what you think. Pass this on to others and ask them what they think and share. I'm interested to know the lessons you come up with.

Great video. Kind of sums up where we as a country have placed our values over the last decade!

Thanks Doc

Kind of reminds me of the story about the guy who found a "great treasure" buried in a field. He sold everything he had in life so he could go and buy the field and rightly claim the treasure.
The video points to and reminds me how short our focus is on the prize. Never take your hand off the prize once it's yours. Protect your investment. Buy better tape!

Made everybody watch it. I'll be passing it along. A great lesson about greed and what we think of first when given an unexpected opportunity. What else could the hole have been used for? Surgery?

Good thoughts. Hadn't thought about the positive side and what could have been done with the black hole. Interesting.

And to think that I really trusted that guy when I hired him.
