Your Life, In Just Six Words

I was reading the local paper this past Saturday morning and this article caught my eye: "Your life, in just six words." Larry Smith has written a book to be released soon that is entitled, Not Quite What I Was Planning - Six Word Memoirs by Writers and Famous and Obscure.

It's a collection of six-word memoirs. Some are funny and some are very serious. Here are several of his examples:

  • Lost my love, gained a lawyer.
  • Small fish. Big pond. All Sharks.
  • For sale: baby shoes, never worn.
  • I colored outside the lines.
  • Became my mother, please shoot me.
  • Was father, boys died, still sad.
  • I will start diet, exercise tomorrow.
  • Macular degeneration. Didn't see that one coming.
  • I love the idea of you.

My question for you is can you summarize your life in six words? I've thought of some for me:

  • Won't be back, gone bird hunting.
  • Had a good start, finished stronger.
  • My plan A, God's plan B.
  • Passionate desire to have lived significantly.
  • I knew that my Redeemer lived.

Let me challenge you to try it. Do one for yourself, your family, and your company.

Next question: What would people write about you in six words? Ask'em.  It could be interesting.

If you like, share your six words with me. I'd be interested to know.
